Get Glue

I recently started using Google Chrome just because I could and like any curious person I started adding extensions. Sometimes you just want to know what people come up with these days. Anyway I started adding a bunch of these extensions without really knowing their purpose because these happened to be in the recommended section. That is what we do. If lots of people color with blue you have got to have that same color blue too.

So anyway finishing adding and installing these extensions I became an explorer. I almost dressed in my explorer outfit – hat and all – when I came across glue. I had certainly never heard of it before but it exists and from the amount of people already using it I guess it has been around for quite some time now.

Before I could do anything with this extension I had to login. Fortunately for me - and for probably most people that dwell on the internet at night – you can connect with glue using your twitter or facebook account. If not an internet night dweller you can use your e-mail too. This means you do not need to remember another password or login name – don’t you just hate it when the name you want is already taken!?

Finally connected to glue you start a bootcamp – unfortunately not with a matching outfit. This is not a very difficult bootcamp and it would take you longer to get in those army pants than finishing it. All that is left to do now is add things you like and this is so simple.

Glue is connected to a lot of websites. If I look up something on wikipedia glue appears at the bottom of my screen asking me if I like the subject and it shows me other people who have liked this subject. I might even be able to view a comment from somebody about this subject. Even better if I can´t find a book that I like on glue it gives me a link to amazon and when you find the book there glue appears at the bottom of my screen again and I can tell gleu that yes I like this book.

What else does glue do. Well it gives me suggestions. I might have liked harry potter and the chamber of secrets – be it book or film – and glue suggests to me all the other books/films. I don’t even have to look for them. What a time saver!

The more things you like the more stickers you earn. I don’t even know how I earned some of my stickers but it’s fun and a great way to keep the things you like near and you might even find new things that you had never heard of.

Bit dissapointing about glue is that they have got numerous topics about the same subject and it is also very hard to see if it’s a film, soundtrack or book. There is a small icon that will tell you but it took me a while to find it. Not sure if I’ll still be this enthousiastic in a couple of days as things that I like start dwindeling and there won’t be stuff for me to add anymore. No stuff means no new stickers. Interested?
